Home/School Folder- This folder travels between home and school daily. This folder is for notes and milk money. Please place the milk money in an envelope or a plastic bag labeled with your child’s name on it. When your child leaves each day, the folder will be sent home with any schoolwork, notes and notices.
Milk- Milk can be purchased for 50 cents a day. The school offers both white and chocolate milk. Milk can be paid for on a weekly basis or by using the assigned code for your child.
Snacks – Please send a small healthy snack (fruit, vegetables, cheese and crackers, yogurt, etc.) and a drink if not purchasing milk with your child each day. Don’t forget to send a spoon for snacks that require one. Any snack that has not been eaten will be sent home (if possible) so that you can keep track of how much your child is eating at school.
Change of clothes- Please place an extra change of clothes in a plastic bag. Your child’s clothes will be kept in their backpack (things happen!)
Home visits- Home visits are held on most Fridays. They can be held at your home or at school. Home visits consist of an activity that we can do together with your child and give us time to discuss your child’s progress or any other concerns.
Scholastic Books – Scholastic book orders are sent home monthly. This is an inexpensive way to build a home library. Checks should be made out to Scholastic Book Clubs.
Playground Safety- We use our playground daily. For safety reasons, the children are not allowed on the climbing equipment if they are wearing sandals. Sneakers are really the best type of footwear for preschoolers.
Parent Volunteers- At times, we may have a special activity that may require extra help. Every parent volunteer must have a background check.
The temperature in our room tends to fluctuate so dressing your child in layers might be the best bet.
We are looking forward to a wonderful year. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
